It was his dedication to doors that led him to open his own local business, supplying and fitting garage doors in Wiltshire, in 2002. Supported by his family (Meg, Keith and Michael), John has now built up a crack team of door-fitters and a reputation for excellent workmanship and customer service. In 2015 he expanded the thriving business to include Somerset.

John’s enthusiasm is infectious when he talks about the technological progress he’s witnessed during his years in the garage door business. Automation, he says, was a game-changer, along with the ever-evolving technology of the transmitters and sophisticated door operating systems with integral anti-burglary devices. He enjoys keeping up with the changing technology, and looks forward to an exciting future, with smart garage doors already becoming IoT devices as part of a full home automation system.
